Our 2022 annual report

Looking back, 2022 was in many ways a year of transition. The lockdowns and restrictions of previous years gave way to a renewed but uneasy openness, set against a backdrop of global change and instability.

Dovetail consolidated its contribution to research, evaluation and consulting services in Aotearoa, working across many sectors to uncover insight and enable evidence-informed decision-making. At the same time, implementing Value for Investment approaches has become a new and important platform of our work both in Aotearoa and internationally.

We undertook our first client survey, and were deeply gratified by the feedback. Our ability to offer a tailored approach, linking with our network of contractors, and combined with the stability of our in-house team, provides research and evaluation solutions that our clients clearly value.

It’s exciting for us to be entering 2023 with new colleagues and collaborators, and at the same time building from our well-established foundations to capture new areas of value and learning for our clients and communities.

We also set ourselves a giving back target, in line with our company purpose and values. We aim to give back 1% of revenue each year in cash or time contributions. In 2022, we more than exceeded this, with a range of charitable organisations benefiting (detailed below).

Our 2022 Annual Report is pictured below, or you can download a pdf here. As ever, we would like to extend our enormous gratitude to all who we worked with, and with a growing team, look forward to extending our contribution.

Nga mihi nui ki a koutou.

With thanks to Georgia Parslow for preparing the infographic, and to all our team and collaborators who made 2022 so memorable.
